About Us

DAAK is a non-political, independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights, equality and the plight of the community. It is a community-led innovator that ensures communities lead change is drastic and lasting. The ambition for the organization is to fulfill the promise of the 2030 global goals in rendering a just society. Key implemented program includes Adolescent Girls SRHR, Disability rights advocacy and inclusion, Climate change adaptation programs, Education, and women economic empowerment.

Meet Our fantastic team

George

As the Founder and Executive Director, George directs the vision, leads the team and oversees development. George is passionate about alleviating poverty and advancing rights of all children, women Economic empowerment and Disability rights inclusion and advocacy through child right based approach in the community. He Leads DAAK with unmatched experiences from the world of humanitarian services. George has worked for different organizations including Impact Research and Development Organization as a field researcher. He has also served in Plan International Kenya as Community Child right facilitator for more than 5 years. In the field of Education, George has also worked for Eldoret Technical Training Institute as lecturer in the department of Social Sciences. George is also a competent HIV/AID counselor; NASCOP certified and has worked for Maryland University Kenya program as a Counselor. He holds BA in Sociology from Moi University and a diploma Certificate in Social Work and Community from Siaya Institute of Technology.

Jabez

Jabez as the program Manager is responsible for driving the implementation of the organization agenda and coordinate the operations. Jabez comes in with over 5years experience in the implementation of different programs including Child right adcocacy, Disability rights inclusion and advocacy, Women Economic Empowerment, SRHR and Education Programs. Prior to joining our team, he worked for Kenya recross Society of Kenya, Migori branch where he built more innovative skills due to his interaction with different humanitarian services. Jabez holds a diploma in Social Work and Community Development from Rongo University.
